I agree 100% with your closing thoughts. To me, Ebb's greatest strength is how it distinguishes itself from Disco Elysium, be it with the mechanical differences or setting-wise. A fantastic game, and I hope the developer follows it up with something just as interesting.
Did you focus on a particular class' responses for your first run-through, Jim? I mostly did druid stuff.
I went full God-Emperor Wizard Arcanist for my first playthrough. Nobody can be trusted with political power except me and my mimic scarf.
I am a little sad there wasn’t a Necromantic/Lichdom route, considering your introduction to negative energy use is very similar to your introduction to druidism, but maybe that’s a step too far for a Cleric.
Every time he piped up after that, or even just seeing the occasional -1 DC because MEEK IS HELPING! gave me a smile, dozens of them throughout the rest of the game.
Looks like it's in my wheelhouse. Added to the wishlist.
Esoteric Ebb is great! I’ve been enjoying it quite a bit

Speaking of the mimic scarf, what a great character/bit. Being presented with the choice of taking him along filled me with happiness, hah.
